All 15 of us started the day early with a communal breakfast before prepping our high-quality, well-maintained road bikes for our first day in the saddle. The IRON DONKEY tour offered both hybrid and road bikes, or you could bring your own. In the past, I've traveled with my bike in a hard case, but after this experience, I’ll never do that again. It’s so much easier to bring your own seat and pedals and rent a bike on-site. My rental bike was included in the tour price, and I received a nearly new Trek road bike—absolutely loved it!

Our second day on the IRON DONKEY Tour was nothing short of amazing. We started our ride from Santillana del Mar, cruising along the scenic coastal roads towards San Vicente de la Barquera.
As the day progressed and the sun climbed higher, the temperatures soared. Luckily, we had the perfect remedy—jumping into the refreshing ocean to cool off.
After our impromptu swim, we continued our ride, energized and ready for the final stretch.
We arrived at our destination, a luxurious 5-star hotel, where we were treated to a beautiful group dinner. The camaraderie, the stunning landscapes, and the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation made this day unforgettable.
